In-House Laboratory

 

             At Mount Rose Animal Hospital our doctors and staff are committed to providing clients with the highest level of quality medical and surgical care for their pets.  One manner in which we strive to achieve this goal is by having in-house laboratory services.  Our hospital can run complete CBC’s, Chemistry panels, and electrolyte assessments.  These new bloodwork machines allow regular pre-anesthetic bloodwork profiles to be checked on our elective scheduled procedures (spays, neuters, declaws, dentals, growth removals, etc.) when requested by our clients.  Our laboratory equipment also allows our doctors to get in-depth information in a hurry on emergency patients.  Furthermore, the machines allow closer, easier monitoring of hospitalized medical and surgical cases as needed.

 

             Other in-house laboratory capabilities at Mount Rose Animal Hospital include:  Heartworm testing, Parvovirus testing, fecal floatation testing, and FELV/FIV testing.  For all other laboratory diagnostic needs, Mount Rose Animal Hospital uses Idexx Laboratories.  This state-of-the-art, nationwide laboratory serves us well!  Not only does Idexx provide daily sample pickups, accurate information and fast turn-around time for veterinarians (and clients) to receive results… they also have specialists in dermatology, internal medicine, exotics, oncology, and pathology that veterinarians can consult with when facing challenging cases.  You can learn more about Idexx by following this link:  Idexx
